Uganda, along with the rest of the world, will gather in Riyadh for the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games Running from 7–21 November, the Games will bring the sporting world together through the shared values of peace, unity, and hope.

Uganda Bombers optimistic after safe arrival in Riyadh
A delegation of Uganda Boxing national team (The Bombers) safely arrived in Riyadh city, Saudi Arabia for the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games.
The team comprising of two men Jimmy Adriko and Alfred Ojok as well as two ladies Angel Katushabe and Fatuma Nabikolo arrived in Riyadh on Sunday morning.
They were warmly received by the advance party (Ivan Mugowa and Jonathan Wangolo) that traveled earlier to prepare for the reception of the other members on the delegation.
“We traveled well and all the boxers are in the best shape. We are just quickly adjusting to the weather as we look forward to a fast recovery prior to the training sessions” Sula Kamoga, a team official remarked.
Adriko will feature in the 60 Kg cluster, Katushabe in the 51 kg bracket, Nabikoolo (57kg) and Ojok in the 80 kg.
The boxers will be handled by Samuel Kabugo as head coach.
Uganda’s delegation has a total of 39 athletes which also entails other disciplines as Aquatics, Athletics, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Para-Powerlifting and Table Tennis.
The team also has International Technical Officials (ITOs) in Salim Musoke Ssenkungu, Janet Musoke Namwanga (Weightlifting), Monica Nassuuna (Basketball) and Fula Aciga (Boxing).
Sadik Zaid Nasiwu is the Chef De Mission.
