The final day of the 2026 Commonwealth Games witnessed Uganda in the track cycling competition of the 1000m time trial final in which Charles Kagimu represented the country.

In the event hosted at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, Scotland, Kagimu finished in 23rd position after completing his race in 1:17.223.

“Considering the illness that made me miss the first race of the Games, I am happy that I have added something to my CV, and this one is special because it’s the first time for Uganda in track cycling at this level” Kagimu said.
