Team Uganda has returned home from the second edition of the ANOCA Zone V Youth Games in Kenya with an impressive 23-medal haul, finishing second overall behind hosts Kenya.
Team Uganda has been officially flagged off ahead of the second edition of the ANOCA Zone V Youth Games, scheduled for August 24–28, 2026, at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda will arrive in Nairobi with young athletes competing across seven disciplines: 3×3 Basketball, Judo, Athletics, Swimming, Cycling, Tennis and Beach Volleyball.
The fourth edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games 2026 will be held in Dakar, Senegal from 31 October to 13 November. This is the first time the Youth Olympic Games will be organised in Africa. Dakar 2026 presented a visionary, ambitious and technically sound YOG project that addresses the long-term aims of the country.
