After 11 days of action, the 2026 Commonwealth Games have climaxed in Glasgow Scotland.
Uganda has finished with three medals; a bronze by Peruth Chemutai in the 3000m Steeplechase, Silver by Para-Swimmer Husnah Kukundakwe in the SB8 100m Breaststroke and the basketball 3×3 women’s basketball team that got Silver.
Uganda was represented by 55 athletes from eight federations and took part in ten disciplines including two in the Para-sport genres of power lifting and swimming.
This team was unique and had 34 women and 21 men.
On the medal standing, Australia dominated with England in second ahead of Canada and India while hosts Scotland was fifth at the games that Rwanda got its first medal and Dominica Republic its first gold and one with the largest Para category in history.
