But the day wasn’t only about the successes but also hiccups like the men’s table tennis double team of Joshua Magaya and Joseph Sebatindira that lost its round of 16 to a pair from Guyana.

15-year old Jemimah Nakawala also failed in her pursuit for a women Singles medal after a 1-4 quarter final loss to Egyptian 19-year old Yousra Ashraf.

Thursday is a relatively quiet day for Uganda, with only the table tennis awards ceremony lined up.

Uganda sent 39 athletes from seven federations to the Games with only four;table tennis, aquatics, weightlifting and boxing witnessing action this far.

Athletics, wrestling and Para-Powerlifting are the next in line with many of the members from those federations start departing Uganda on Thursday.
