Pirates Edge Out KCB Lions in Thrilling Enterprise Cup Clash.

Uganda’s Stanbic Black Pirates edged out Kenya’s KCB Lions 11-10 in a thrilling Enterprise Cup quarterfinal clash at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku. William Nkore’s two penalty kicks and Jeremiah Okello’s try secured the win for Pirates, while KCB Lions’ Sheldon Kahi and Mike Wekesa scored tries in response.

 

Stanbic Black Pirates have advanced to the semifinals of the Enterprise Cup, where they will face Kenya’s Nondescripts RFC on April 11, 2026 in Uganda. “This win is important for us. KCB probably didn’t expect this performance from us.The team is hardworking and we will go back to prepare better for the semifinal,” said Isaac Massanganzira, Pirates’ captain. Pirates’ Conrad Wanyama was awarded the MVP of the quarterfinal against KCB.

 

Kenya hosted Uganda’s Buffaloes and KCB KOBS in the Enterprise Cup quarterfinals at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru on the same day. Buffaloes lost to Menengai Oilers 15-60, while KOBS lost 13-29 to Nondescripts. Buffaloes’ Yasin Waswa emerged as the overall top points scorer in the Enterprise Cup quarterfinals with 15 points, while Pirates’ Captain Isaac Massanganzira led the top tacklers chart with 19
