History in the making : dakar 2026.
History in the making! For the first time, a Refugee Olympic Team will compete at the Youth Olympic Games.
We are excited to see our very own Ugandan-based refugee athletes, Florence Masembe (Women’s 200m) and Rachid Rochene (Men’s 200m), join the team as they prepare to represent the Refugee Olympic Team in Dakar, Senegal.
Their selection is a reminder of the power of sport to create opportunities, inspire hope and bring people together. We wish Florence and Rachid the very best as they prepare for this historic moment!
Meet the refugee athletes heading to Senegal!
