Dr. Donald Rukare is a highly accomplished Ugandan lawyer, lecturer, and sports administrator who recently made history by becoming the first African to be elected President of Commonwealth Sport in November 2025. Born on November 4, 1968, Rukare was a competitive swimmer in his youth and has built a prominent career that merges law with sports governance; he holds a Doctor of Law (LLD) from the University of Pretoria and lectures on sports law at Uganda Christian University, in addition to serving as an arbitrator for the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). His extensive leadership resume includes his current roles as President of the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) since 2021 and Chairperson of the National Council of Sports of Uganda since 2020, along with past positions such as the longtime president of the Uganda Swimming Federation, all of which culminated in his landmark appointment to lead the Commonwealth sports movement globally

Mr. William Frederick Blick (born October 17, 1974) is a Ugandan engineer, businessman, and prominent sports administrator currently serving as an individual member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 2018. He has a significant background in sports administration, including serving as the President of the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) from 2012 to 2021, holding executive positions within the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), and chairing the Uganda Rugby Union from 2006 to 2013. A former competitive athlete in rugby, motor rallying, and motocross, he was the National Rugby Player of the Year in 1992 and the National Clubman Rally Champion in 2006. He represented Uganda at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the men's welterweight category, where he was defeated in the Round of 16 by Eskerkhan Madiev of Georgia. Transitioning to professional boxing, Bwogi has established an unblemished record, currently 9-0 with five knockouts. A southpaw fighter born in Naguru and fighting out of Kampala, he secured the ABU (African Boxing Union) East & Central Super Middleweight title via knockout.

Ms. Shida Leni, OLY, is a highly accomplished Ugandan sprinter, primarily competing in the 400m event, whose "OLY" designation formally recognizes her status as an Olympian. Hailing from Arua, Uganda, Leni made her international debut at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and has since established herself as Uganda's fastest woman, holding the current national records for both the 200m and 400m races. She has broken her own 400m national record numerous times, most recently achieving a personal best of 50.93 seconds in May 2025. Leni represented Uganda at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the first female sprinter to do so for her nation since 2008. Her list of accolades includes a silver medal at the 2019 World University Games and bronze medals from the African Games and Islamic Solidarity Games. Coached by the husband-and-wife team of Kevin and Sue O'Connor since 2013, Leni has also successfully balanced her athletic career with academics, earning a Master's Degree in Guidance Counselling from Bugema University. Mr. Robert Jjagwe is a distinguished Ugandan professional recognized for his dual expertise in corporate finance and sports administration. Throughout his extensive banking career, he held several senior positions at Citibank, including Executive Director and Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) in Uganda, and Senior Country Operations Officer roles in both Uganda and Kuwait. In early 2023, he transitioned to Ecobank Uganda Limited, serving as the Acting Head of Operations & Technology. In addition to his finance roles, Jjagwe has significantly impacted Ugandan sports; he served as the long-time President of the Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA), successfully guiding it towards federation status before stepping down in mid-2025 to become the Honorary UTTA President. His commitment to sports leadership extended to the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC), where he was elected as an executive committee member in April 2025. Academically, he holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Liverpool, an MA in Economics from Cardiff Business School, and a BA in Economics from Makerere University. He has also served on the American Chamber of Commerce in Uganda board and offered educational consulting services.
