Aziz Abdul 'Ringo' ejected as bosing leaves empty handed.

Uganda’s most celebrated boxer at the 2026 Commonwealth games Aziz Abdul aka Ringo who is grandson to the Late Idi Amin, has lost his heavy weight quarter final bout to Englishman Damar Thomas. 
In the fight played at the Scottish Event Centre-SEC, the Englishman Damar was dominant from the start. This told by the third round when a head butt by Aziz, was deemed, a little too much in a bout he made three illegal infringements that led to a disqualification. 
The other Ugandan boxer in action today, flyweight Angel Katushabe, was stopped by England’s Ruby White who won the bout a by a unanimous points decision of 5-0.
These losses bring an end to Uganda’s boxing journey at the Games where the sport brought six pugilists including Nuhu Batte, Ibrahim Kemis, Emilly Nakalema and Alfred Ojok.
