Girls in Rugby Learning Through Sport (G.I.R.L.S) Project is a three-year project being implemented by the Uganda Olympic Committee, Uganda Rugby Union and Swans Sports Club and Funded by Olympic Solidarity. The project seeks to\u00a0<\/p>

Empower 10,000 girls aged 12-18 through rugby over 3 years\u00a0 in schools around Wakiso, enhancing their self-confidence , leadership skills and resilience\u00a0<\/p>

Raise Awareness and understanding of GBV, equipping girls with knowledge about their rights, GBV prevention and available support systems<\/p>

Promote gender equality in schools and wider community by challenging traditional gender roles and fostering inclusion through rugby\u00a0<\/p>

Create a safe space and supportive environment in schools where girls can learn and speak out against GBV supported by trained teachers, coaches, and mentors.\u00a0<\/p>

Engage\u00a0 Boys as allies, using rugby as a platform to promote respect, gender equality, and non-violence.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To use Rugby as a tool to promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, respect, self-discipline, gender equality and GBV awareness among school students. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
