
The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC), through its capacity-building department, held a three-day Sports Administrators’ Course for the Eastern Region of Uganda in Kamuli from November 4th to November 6th, 2022.
This was in accordance with the UOC’s strategic goal of capacity development for the period 2022-2027. The course was well attended with over 20 participants with various designations from all over Eastern region.

Bwali Robert, Ssemanda Joseph Collins and Ganzi Mugula were among the eight facilitators present on November 4th, 2022, for sessions on Principles, Structure, and Leadership of the Olympic Movement, The Games, and Athletes at the Heart of the Olympic Movement.
On the second day of the workshop, November 5th, 2022, participants worked on topics such as promoting Olympic values and Managing the Organization. Nagganya Proscovia and Nakamya Annet as facilitators, presented these.
Shillah Omuriwe, Lutalo Godwin, and Eddie Butindo facilitated themes on management skills, managing resources, and activities on the program’s final day, November 6th, 2022.
The course was aimed at equipping participants with the skills to effectively carry out sports administration duties in various areas of the Eastern Region.
