Uganda Olympic Committee in conjuction with Olympic Solidarity held its 2nd Graduation Ceremony on 1st July 2017 at its headquarters in Lugogo. The ceremony was presided over by the Uganda Olympic Committee President Mr. William Blick, accompanied by the General Secretary Dr. Donald Rukare.

In 2015, during its 1st Graduation Ceremony, Uganda Olympic Committee awarded 124 participants with similar qualifications and of these 36% were women. Participants for these studies are drawn from National Sports Federations, Sports Clubs and associations as well as other sports institutions and organizations.
The President of the Uganda Olympic Committee Mr. William Blick promised to avail scholarships to those participants who were interested in pursuing further studies at Bachelors, Masters and PhD levels if they successfully completed the Advanced Sports Management Course. On the other hand, the General Secretary Dr. Rukare lamented about the inability of Sports Federations to send participants to the courses with just a handful being actively involved each time these courses take place.
Two outstanding students (Odong Jildo and Nagganya Proscovia) were awarded with five hundred thousand shillings (500,000/=) each and a fully paid trip to the International Olympic Academy Session in Greece.
