
Uganda Olympic Committee organized a virtual Sports Administrators Course (SAC) workshop from November 28th,2022 to November 30th ,2022.
Over 100 sports administrators from Uganda and East African Region participated in the programme. Eleven facilitators oversaw the interactive sessions and among them were Mr. William Blick who is an IOC member, Dr. Donald Rukare the current UOC President and Mr. Moses Mwase, 2nd Vice President of the UOC.
The Sports Administrators Course is organized by the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity.
The course has been running in Uganda and since its inception has seen over 2000 participants involved in sport administration from Uganda and beyond interact with experts in field of sports administration.
During the workshop themes centered on Principles, Structure and Leadership of the Olympic Movement, The Games, Athletes at the heart of the Olympic Movement, Promoting the Olympic Values and Sport, and Management were addressed.
The course aims to help sport administrators of National federations, and other bodies responsible for the development of sport in their countries to work more efficiently, effectively, and happily within the sport movements.
UOC further organizes the Advanced Sports Management Course which explores in detail key management areas.
