Team Uganda participated in the 3rd edition of the African Youth Games with 32 athletes and 14 officials that took place from the 18th – 28th July 2018 in Algiers. The team comprised of 6 sports disciplines; 5 individual sports and 1 team sport. In addition to this, Government officials from Ministry of Education and Sports that included the State minister for Sports Hon. Charles Bakkabulindi and National Council of Sports Ag. Secretary General Dr. Bernard Ogwel also attended the games. Team Uganda’s performance was generally good were we managed to scoop 5 medals i.e 3 silver and 2 bronze medals as broken down below;
