
The Commonwealth Games Association of Uganda proudly flagged off its young and talented athletes who will be competing at the 7th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago, from August 4th to 11th, 2023.
The Commonwealth Youth Games have long been a platform to nurture and showcase emerging talent from across the Commonwealth. This year, Uganda’s young stars have every opportunity to shine on the international stage.
Uganda’s contingent is a total of ten outstanding athletes who will represent the nation in two sporting disciplines: swimming and athletics, comprising of four swimmers – two girls and two boys, and six athletes – three girls and three boys, in athletics.
The Commonwealth Youth Games aren’t just about competition; they are about celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence. This event not only celebrates the spirit of sportsmanship but also provides a unique opportunity for our talented youth to gain invaluable international exposure.
