On the 23rd August, the Commonwealth Games Association of Uganda held and conducted online interviews for the purpose of the selection of a new Equip Intern to take part in the Equip Programme under the Commonwealth Games Federation.
The recommended applicants from Makerere University and Kyambogo University were shortlisted and interviewed. The shortlisted applicants included: Mr. Thomas Gasangwa from Makerere University a student currently pursuing a bachelor of Science in Sports Science. Mr. Abel Meeme a continuing student from Kyambogo University currently pursuing a bachelor of science in sports and leisure Management. Mr. Windsor Bukenya currently a continuing student at Makerere University pursuing a bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Ms. Shakira Mutesi also a continuing student at Kyambogo University pursuing a Bachelors degree of Science in Sports and Leisure Management at Kyambogo University.
From the shortlisted students, upon a successful conduction of the interviews, the selection panel considered Ms. Shakira Mutesi the best suitable candidate for the position. She now comes in this position to succeed Mr. Oluka Joseph and UOC wishes her the best in the execution of her duties and roles.
