The meeting with the President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commenced at 4:00pm and was manifested by the growing number of medals won regionally and internationally and creating a conducive environment atmosphere for sports thrive.
The first lady and minister of education and sports Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni thanked the Uganda Olympic Committee for recognizing President Museveni with the award and for honouring Uganda and Africa at large and the President of ANOCA, H. E Mustapha Berraf, appreciated President Museveni for his support and contribution to sports sector and wished him a long life and happiness.
The President of UOC Mr. William Blick thanked president Museveni for the conducive environment he has created saying it was steadily making Uganda emerge as one of the best sports nations in the world, as it so far has two world champions. He also informed the President that Uganda hosted the 55th ANOCA ordinary session executive meeting and that he hoped this would open up more opportunities for Uganda Sporting sector.
President Museveni received the ANOCA order of merit award on the Africa continent at state house which was presented to him by ANOCA president Mr. Mustapha Berraf.
